I'm a punk rocker type of girl. And i'm wanting to dye my hair black with red tips or any color tips. I do like red and black together but it dont matter.

I think it'll look super dope. Go for it. But make sure you've got a good cut so it doesn't look gross. Straight hair is probably best.
