ok i want to do something dramatic to my hair to change it i cant dye my whole head unless i use lemon juice but its my first year in middle school so i think it should be preppy but i kind of want someting REAL drasmatic like pink highlights or something my hair is like a golden brown help me i need to be preppy be im not ready to go punk (i plan to someday)

You say you can't dye your hair. Why is that? You will get the most dramatic results from dying it. I used to be a hairdresser,

Lemon juice will lighten some if you use it almost every day.

You will have to put it on while you are out in the sun for an hour or more. You will need to keep spraying it on when it dries out after 15 minutes or so. So you will get more blond

highlights sooner. You could also try Sun In that you buy @ a

store. That will probably work faster %26amp; better than the lemon juice actually.

Have you thought about a new hairstyle??... That will give you

a different look since you can't dye it. Go to the store %26amp; buy

some hairstyle magazines. When you find a style you like, take it to a salon %26amp; try to find a stylist that is really good @ cutting hair. Some of them will cut too much if they are not that good. You might want to try a shorter style that you can spike on the top %26amp; also flip it on the sides for a more dramatic

hair style. I personally would not suggest that you do the pink highlights. Most boys are not going to like that. Also it may make you look to the kids like you are trying to get attention %26amp;

give them the wrong impression of you. You also might want to go slow with trying new hairstyles %26amp; only get a small amount cut @ first. You can always get more hair cut, but you can't add more hair back if they cut it too short %26amp; you don't like it. You will have to wait to let it grow back. Remember also that most guys like long hair on girls %26amp; there are lots of different hair styles you can do with long hair %26amp; you can also have long hair layered. Write back %26amp; let me know how you decide to get it done, or when you get it done %26amp; if you like it. Remember it usually takes a week or more to get used to a new hair style or color that you are not used to. So if you get something done you don't like, give it a week or more to get used to it.

you should do pink tips on the bottom of your hair.

or do pink underneath your hair so if you have a half poiny tail it would look cool. Or even better if your hair was layered it would look even cooler.

OK coming from the punk queen i have no idea my sister is more of the prep so ill take notes wear pink not too much put your hair up in a ponytail die ur hair blond and try to wear hearts,skulls,and stars that really in style.lol

Get a real sharp cut (in prep for the future punk) and do the pink underlay like the other girl said, but do it under your nature hair color...it would be really preppy.

I just finished 2nd year of middle school. I don't know, about 'preppy' hair but the most popular way to wear your hair is not to tie it, just leave it down. Layers rule, so do side bangs. Don't have your hair too long, just about one inch below your shoulder blades. Pink highlights are a great idea. My friend has light brown hair, and she got purple highlights and a pink streak going down the left side of her head. It looks really cool. Just do whatever! Middle school consists of three years that will change you and give you experiences that will assist you to be succesful in highschool, not just educationally, but emotionaly. youy were learn to be a more social person and you'll make new friends. It doesn't matter what you do with your hair, afterall, everyone's is different! Good Luck!
