How to do 14 year old guys hair?

im 14, i have short hair. in the front (bangs) are like 1.5-2 inches.

my hair stylist cut it so its a little shorter on the sides (about .5 inches) and its a tiny bit longer in the front than in the back on top (its hardly noticable).

usually i use mousse (correct spelling?) and try to spike it up just in front a little, but then it always ending up leaning to the right a little bit so it goes up then over a little.

what should i use and/or do to just get a simple, cool-looking spiky-thing going. but not too much like a punk or something. just enough to be cool.
